VTEPP: Current Status

The VTEPP policy proposal was completed in April 2026, laying out a full legislative framework for a Virginia jobs guarantee — program design, fiscal analysis, and a three-year pilot implementation plan. The proposal recommends General Assembly authorization in the 2027 Session, with pilot funding included in the FY2030–2031 biennial budget.

The VLG Institute is currently focused on building coalition support and identifying legislative sponsorship ahead of the 2027 Session, alongside continued research and outreach to potential partners in the policy and advocacy community.
