Research
The VLG Institute conducts research on state-level full-employment and jobs guarantee policy, applying the policy diffusion literature — how state pilots have historically shaped national policy adoption — to build evidence-based legislative frameworks. Our research combines economic analysis, program design, and legislative feasibility to produce policy proposals grounded in both data and practical implementation.
Featured Research
Virginia Targeted Employment & Pathways Program (VTEPP)
A complete legislative framework for a Virginia jobs guarantee, including program design, fiscal analysis, and a three-year pilot implementation plan.
Research Agenda
As The VLG Institute grows, our research will expand to examine jobs guarantee frameworks in additional states, drawing on lessons from early pilots like VTEPP. Future research areas include comparative state policy analysis, implementation case studies, and evaluation frameworks for guaranteed employment programs.
